Sunday, 05/02:

The funny "Venetian Party" organized by the Venetian Rowing Associations will brighten your day!

 

At about 12.00, a water parade, which will sail from Punta della Dogana on the Grand Canal to reach the Rio de Canaregio in the popular quarter of Cannaregio on the Riva where the Venetians use to wait for the traditional "Svolo della Pantegana" ( the throwingof the rat), which marks the beginning the real party in the name of "Magna e bevi" (eat and drink): fritole (carnival pancakes), galani (sort of buiscuits) cicheti (little snacks) with a background of true Venetian!
